Fairfield Carnival brings weekend of fun to Rockbridge County

FAIRFIELD, Va. (WFXR) — The 67th annual Fairfield Carnival has already kicked off in Rockbridge County for the weekend, featuring food, games, and rides furnished by Fun Time Amusements of Virginia.

According to the South River Volunteer Fire Department, the event will be held at 20 Graystone Lane in Fairfield through Saturday, July 17.

On Friday, July 16, there will be a parade at 7 p.m., with lineup starting at 6 p.m. The carnival opens right after the parade and will feature live music starting at 8 p.m.

Then, on Saturday, there will be BBQ chicken available at 11:30 a.m. The carnival will open up for the night at 6 p.m., followed by live music at 7 p.m. and a raffle drawing for 40 great prizes around 11 p.m.
