Deputies, K9s with Franklin County Sheriff’s Office attend Bloodhound seminar

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A couple of deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office attended a Bloodhound seminar in Louisa County this week.

Deputy John Lavinder with K9 Jethro and Deputy Chad Huston with K9 Hunter participated in the 9th Annual Louisa Bloodhound Seminar with Virginia Bloodhound Search and Rescue.

During the seminar, the K9s were trained to search and rescue individuals who have relocated from one area to another, based upon the scent trail that they leave.
