UPDATE: Water main break affecting southwest Roanoke homes repaired

UPDATE 1:35 p.m.: A water main break on Saturday morning that affected a neighborhood in southwest Roanoke has been repaired.

The Western Virginia Water Authority tells WFXR News that the repair was completed around 11:30 a.m.


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – A water main break is affecting several residences in southwest Roanoke.

According to the Western Virginia Water Authority, the break is located in the 2400 block of Lofton Road where a six-inch break is causing low pressure or no water for residents in the area.

Surrounding streets are also being affected.

The Western Virginia Water Authority says that service is expected to be repaired in a few hours.
