UPDATE: Shed, vehicle damaged after Thursday morning fire in northeast Roanoke

UPDATE 8:05 a.m.: Fire crews have shared more information with WFXR News about Thursday morning’s fire at a northeast Roanoke residence.

According to first responders, the fire started in a shed behind a home in the 2600 block of Hollins Road NE. Both the shed and a vehicle were damaged in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — First responders have been called out to northeast Roanoke Thursday morning to fight a fire in the area.

Roanoke Fire-EMS posted on Facebook shortly after 6:15 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 that crews are at the scene of a working fire in the 2600 block of Hollins Road NE.

Motorists are asked to avoid this area during their morning commute.
