UPDATE: Family displaced after northwest Roanoke house fire Sunday afternoon

UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: Four people — including a child — are displaced after a fire in northwest Roanoke Sunday afternoon.

Roanoke Fire-EMS says crews were able to get the fire in the 3600 block of Round Hill Road NW under control within 15 minutes of being dispatched.

The department says no injuries were reported but three adults and one child are displaced. The American Red Cross has been contacted to help the family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Fire crews are on the scene of a fire in Northwest Roanoke.

According to Roanoke Fire-EMS, they were dispatched at 2:14 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 to the 3600 block of Round Hill Avenue NW.

When they arrived, they found smoke coming from a home.

No other information has been released.
