UPDATE: Crash cleared on Route 220 in Franklin County

UPDATE 5:40 p.m.: The crash has been cleared on Route 220 in Franklin County, south of Boones Mill.

Traffic is said to be moving normally in both directions around this area.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A crash is creating issues for drivers heading both northbound and southbound on Route 220 in Franklin County – just south of Boones Mill.

According to VDOT, the crash is located near Grassy Hill Road (Route 919).

The left lane and left shoulder of Route 220 north and south are closed in this area.

Drivers can expect delays in this area.
