UPDATE: Route 11 fully reopens after earlier crash near Natural Bridge has been cleared

UPDATE 12:25 p.m.: All lanes of Route 11 have been reopened as the crash in the area just south of Natural Bridge has been cleared.

UPDATE 12:00 p.m.: VDOT says that northbound lanes of Route 11 near Natural Bridge have reopened after being previously closed due to a crash; however, southbound lanes continue to be shut down in the area just off I-81 at exit 176.

Drivers on I-81 needing to use the Natural Bridge exit will need to use exit 180 to come into Natural Bridge from the north.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A crash has closed all northbound and southbound lanes of Route 11 near Natural Bridge in Rockbridge County.

According to VDOT, the crash is located a short distance off I-81’s exit 176.

Drivers will need to use I-81 as an alternate around the crash and exit I-81 at exit 180.
