ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — June 2 is National Gun Violence Awareness Day, a day honoring the 43,000 people who lose their life to gun violence every year in the United States.

This year, the City of Roanoke is asking residents to join them in the national #WearOrange campaign on Friday, June 2. The campaign was started in solidarity with fallen victims and to shine a light on gun violence.
