ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Chris’s Coffee and Custard has been open for four months, providing sweet treats and freshly brewed coffee to the Star City while employing individuals with special abilities.
“Our young adults are doing so well,” said Beth Woodrum, owner of Chris’s Coffee and Custard. “They’re learning, they’re doing great jobs, making custard and making the drinks. It’s just so exciting to see them engage with our customers and serve a great product and have awesome customer service. I’m very proud of them.”
Now, they’re introducing something new to the area: a ‘selfieccino.’
“It was a secret, not to tell any customers,” said Chris Woodrum.
“We actually bought it in November, and then we’ve had it until just the right time, so this was a perfect time to bring it out,” Beth said.
So, how does it work?
“What you can do is you can scan the QR code and then it will let you take a selfie or pick a picture on your phone, and then it will send over to the machine and then the machine will print it,” Beth explained.
According to employees, the selfieccino is impressive.
“People say to me, ‘wow, Chris, that’s amazing,'” said Chris.
In four minutes, not only can you spend time with the amazing employees, but have a unique custom-made cappuccino or latte created especially for you.
