Car crashes into Westlake Subway Tuesday afternoon

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Earlier on Tuesday, emergency crews responded to a report of a car that had crashed into a building in Westlake.

According to Scruggs Volunteer Fire and Rescue, crews responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a building at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

When crews arrived, they found a vehicle that had struck the Subway restaurant.

The Franklin County Department of Public Safety says the building sustained significant damage.

Today at approximately 2:30 PM, Ladder 10, Attack 10, Utility 10, and Med 15 responded to a report of a vehicle that hit a building near Subway in Westlake.
