Car crashes into northeast Roanoke building, one seriously injured

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — One person was brought to the hospital Saturday evening while a team of first responders worked to stabilize a northeast Roanoke building following a car crash.

Roanoke Fire-EMS tweeted on Saturday, April 10 that units responded to the 1600 block of Wayne Street NE around 5:15 p.m. for a car crashing into a building.

According to the department, one person was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Roanoke Fire-EMS’ heavy technical rescue team was called out to stabilize the structure.
