Botetourt County Libraries modify hours due to staffing shortages

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Because of staffing shortages at the Botetourt County Libraries, the operating hours will change next month for at least one branch of the library.

Starting on Nov. 1, county officials say the Eagle Rock Library branch on Eagles Nest Drive will be closed on Saturdays until the vacant positions are filled.

In addition, reduced days or hours of operation may be necessary at other branches depending on the staffing situation, according to Botetourt County.

“We are hopeful that current open positions will be filled quickly so that we can return to our normal business hours,” Botetourt County Libraries posted on Facebook on Wednesday, Oct. 13. “Thank you for your patience during this time as we regroup to continue providing the best customer service experience for our patrons while caring for our staff.”
