BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Botetourt County Landfill will be closing for contractors and commercial customers starting on July 7.

The landfill, located at 259 Landfill Road in Troutville, will not take construction debris or commercial bulk loads. Instead, contractors and commercial customers are being asked to take loads to the RVRA Salem Transfer Station at 1271 Indiana Street, Salem until the new Cloverdale Trash Transfer Station is operational.

The new transfer station is owned by Green For Life Environmental (GFL) and will be located on Lee Highway.

This new station will be delayed in opening for approximately 60 days, in early fall 2021.

This delay will not affect residential customers.
