ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Get ready to take a trip back to a simpler time with two big acts from yesteryear.
KC and the Sunshine Band and Air Supply will be making separate appearances in the Star City as part of Berglund Center’s Summer Concert Series!
The bands will be part of the Bud Light Vinyl Vault Concert Series that will take place in Elmwood Park during the month of June.
KC and the Sunshine Band will be in Roanoke on Saturday, June 4 and Air Supply will follow on Saturday, June 17.
KC and the Sunshine Band brings a fusion of R&B mixed with funk. The band is behind songs like “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” and “Shake Your Booty.” The band is credited with being one of the most progressive bands in the 70s.
Air Supply was formed in 1975 in Australia. The band’s notable songs include “Lost in Love,” Every Woman in the World,” and “All out of Love.”
“Lost In Love” became Billboard’s Top Adult Contemporary Single of 1980.
