UPDATE 11:25 a.m.: According to VDOT, the tractor-trailer wreck that caused lane closures and delays at mile marker 141 on I-81 South in Roanoke County has been cleared away.
UPDATE 8:28 a.m.: VDOT says crews have cleared the scene of Thursday morning’s vehicle crash at mile marker 141.1 on I-81 South in Roanoke County.
However, the southbound left shoulder and left lane are still closed at mile marker 141 due to a tractor-trailer crash, causing four miles of backups, according to VDOT.

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke County motorists may run into some delays Thursday morning due to back-to-back crashes on I-81 South.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), a vehicle crash at mile marker 141.1 has closed down the southbound left shoulder, left lane, and right shoulder.
This wreck has resulted in more than two miles of delays along I-81 South, VDOT says.
Meanwhile, crews have also blocked off the southbound left shoulder and left lane at mile marker 141 because of a tractor-trailer crash on I-81, according to the department.
There is no word on the extent of the delays resulting from the tractor-trailer crash.
