ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Antonio Hash has announced his intent to run for Sheriff of Roanoke City.

Hash, a current deputy with the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office, says he has the education and experience to meet the standards of the position of Roanoke City Sheriff.

In a media release from Tuesday, March 2, Hash pledges to improve and strengthen this relationship by either expanding existing community partnerships or introducing new avenues of law enforcement and public partnerships.

“I believe you raise the bar of understanding by showing dignity and respect. I believe you achieve this culture of excellence by developing standards of diversity, training, security, and public safety for the Sheriff’s Office and by giving the community frequent opportunities to voice their concerns in open forum. Accordingly, on June 8th, I ask for and would be honored to receive your vote for Sheriff of Roanoke City.”
