ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Angels of Assisi plans to help community members in need on Sunday by holding a Free Pet Food Drive-Thru.

According to the shelter, the drive-thru will be held in front of the Angels of Assisi building at 415 Campbell Avenue SW from 2 to 4 p.m. — while supplies last — on Sunday, March 7.

“Thanks to our community’s support, our Pet Food Pantry is full again,” said Dayna Reynolds, Director of Communications at Angels of Assisi. “We are in awe of the support and want to make sure word of the Pet Food Pantry reaches all the community members who need it. We are holding this Free Pet Food Drive-Thru in hopes that it will help keep people and their pets together and that no pet will need to go hungry.”

However, due to pandemic safety precautions, attendees are asked to stay in their vehicles while staff members come help them.

Angels of Assisi also has a Community Pet Food Pantry that is stocked with cat and dog food donated by the public and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
