Angels of Assisi, RCACP pair up to host low-cost pet health clinic, food pantry

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Angels of Assisi and the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) will be partnering up on Saturday to hold a pet health clinic and a pet food pantry at the Berglund Center.

The Angels of Assisi mobile clinic team will provide rabies and distemper vaccines, as well as microchips for a total of $35 — or $15 separately — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at 710 Williamson Road NE.

“All pets are welcome regardless of where you live,” Angels of Assisi said in a statement on Wednesday, July 7. “Through this event, we aim at helping provide affordable access to veterinary care while also assisting community members who are facing hard times, feed their pets.”

In addition, members of the RCACP will be at the Berglund Center, handing out pet food to community members who need help feeding their pets.
