ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The second annual Cattle Baron’s Ball was held on Saturday to raise money for the American Cancer Society to fight cancer and help those facing cancer.

The event on Saturday, Oct. 2 featured a live band, dancing, food, and an auction.

Chuck Baker, the General Manager of Haley Toyota, helped to bring the event to Richmond five years ago and aimed to continue this in Roanoke.

“First of all, we’re going to have a lot of fun. We’ve got a band, great food, and great libations. We are also here to raise money for the American Cancer Society. So, hopefully, one day we can beat this terrible disease,” said Baker.

Baker says he hopes to have even more people at the event next year as they continue to expand the Cattle Baron’s Ball around the country.

Several WFXR News personalities were also on-hand for the event.
