UPDATE: Police say missing 14-year-old from northwest Roanoke found unharmed

UPDATE 11:58 a.m.: The Roanoke Police Department announced Friday morning missing 14-year-old Carmen Andrade has been found safe and unharmed.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police are asking for the public’s help to search for a missing teenage girl from northwest Roanoke.

The Roanoke Police Department says 14-year-old Carmen Andrade was last seen at approximately 10:40 p.m. at her home in the 1100 block of Mercer Avenue NW.

According to police, Andrade is approximately 5’5″ tall with black and blue hair. She was reportedly last seen wearing a black crop top, black jean shorts, and a cotton hoodie-style jacket with a diamond pattern.

“We don’t believe Carmen is in danger at this time, but due to her age we’d like to get her home to her family as soon as possible,” the Roanoke Police Department wrote on Facebook at 12:38 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2.

If you have any information about Andrade’s whereabouts, you are asked to call 911.
