Roanoke-area firefighters and police officers swapped uniforms for hockey jerseys Saturday for the 16th annual Guns & Hoses Game.

The event donates all proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and has raised more than $300,000 to date.

Fans came out in force to watch the game, filling up the Berglund Center parking lot before the first puck was dropped.

And according to the Roanoke Police Department’s Facebook page, the guns took home the victory 6-3.
