UPDATE 5:26 p.m.: The tractor-trailer crash on I-81 South has been cleared, according to VDOT.
UPDATE 4:50 p.m.: VDOT says that crews reopened all southbound lanes on I-81 at mile marker 145.
Traffic is still delayed for approximately three miles as of this posting, according to VDOT.
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Southbound drivers can expect delays along Interstate 81 in Roanoke County on Thursday due to a tractor-trailer crash.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the southbound right lane and right shoulder are closed at mile marker 145 while crews clear the crash site.
VDOT says the traffic backup along I-81 South stretches for at least three miles as of this posting.
