Roanoke College Dedicates Martin Luther statue

Local News

A larger-than-life bronze statue of Martin Luther has a place to call home at Roanoke College, the second oldest Lutheran college in America. “Luther changed the world,” said Michael Maxey, President of Roanoke College. “And to have a statue of him to remind students of that, and to help them think about the significance of his life for their lives, is a great thing to do for young people.” The statue was donated by Charles and Helen Schumann of Richmond, Virginia.
