Road rage suspects pleads not guilty in murder case

Local News

The suspect accused of shooting a man during a road rage encounter has pleaded not guilty to murder charges in court.

Online court records show James Hooper made the plea during a hearing Monday morning in Pittsylvania County.

A jury trial date has been set for June 5.

Authorities said Hooper killed Jacob Robertson at the Kangaroo Mart on Route 29 near Blairs in January in connection to a road rage incident.

PCSO said the victim left behind a fiancée and his 8-year-old son.
