UPDATE: Campbell County bridge reopening following emergency repairs.

UPDATE 7:30 P.M.: Dearborn Drive in Campbell County has been reopened following emergency repairs.

UPDATE 11:05 a.m.: A VDOT spokesperson told WFXR News the approach to a bridge was damaged Friday morning over Troublesome Creek along Dearborn Road, leading to the closure of both the bridge and the road until repairs are made.

VDOT crews are already at the scene and working on repairs in hopes of reopening the bridge later in the day, according to the spokesperson from VDOT.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office says one car was crossing the bridge right before the damage occurred.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.

Meanwhile, according to VDOT, numerous other roads are closed around southern and central Virginia due to flooding and washout:

Appomattox County:

  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 605/Dreaming Creek Road from Stone Ridge Road/Route 721 to River Bottom Lane/Route 624 due to flooding.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 663/Oak Ridge Road from Colemans Mill Road/Route 611 to Wildway Road/Route 616 due to flooding.

Bedford County:

  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 755/Simmons Mill Road from Saunders Road/Route 616 to Saunders Grove/Route 754 due to flooding.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 619/Foster Road from Longview Road/Oakridge Drive/Quarles Road/Rolling Meadow Drive/Sliding S Drive/Route 691 to Nester Road/Route 690 due to flooding.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 691/Thaxton Mountain Road from Union Church Road/Route 755 to Rocky Ford Road/Route 684 due to flooding.

Campbell County:

  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 696/Dearborn Road from Chapel Grove Road/Route 693 to Blackwater Road/Route 709 due to washout.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 652/Pigeon Run Road from Bear Creek Road/Route 651 to Three Creeks Road/Route 648 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 648/Three Creeks Road from Seamster Drive/Route 708 Pigeon Run Road/Route 652 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 635/Mciver Ferry Road from Dry Fork Road/Route 826 to Long Island Road/Route 761 due to flooding.

Franklin County:

  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 759/Rufus Road from Fork Mountain Road/Route 608 to Crooked Oak Road/Route 718 due to flooding.

Pittsylvania County:

  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 896/Mill Run Road from Sago Road/Route 969 to Hedge Road/Route 858 due to flooding.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 814/Wet Sleeve Creek Road from Franklin Turnpike/VA-41 to Gap Road/Route 815 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 703/Irish Road from Marion Road/Route 605 to Jones Mill Road/Route 834 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 834/Hollywood Road from Callands Road/VA-57 to Green Pond Road/Route 750 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 683/Johnson Mill Road from East Gretna Road/VA-40 to Upper Mountain Road/Route 627 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 642/Shula Drive from Blue Ridge Drive/Route 634 to dead end due to washout.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 603/Allen Creek Road from East Gretna Road/VA-40 to Astro rive/Route 920 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 601/Hubbard Road from Straightstone Road/Route 761 to Moons Road/Route 602 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 930/Sycamore Road from Blue Ridge Drive/Route 634 to Derby Road/Route 643 due to washout.

(WFXR) — In the wake of Hurricane Zeta, numerous roads across central and southwest Virginia are closed Friday morning due to weather-related road hazards.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says 32 roads in the Lynchburg district are under advisory due to flooding, downed trees, downed powerlines, or washout as of 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.

According to the VDOT online traffic map, there are weather-related road closures that have been updated Friday morning across the following localities:

Campbell County:

  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 635/Mciver Ferry Road from Dry Fork Road/Route 826 to Long Island Road/Route 761 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 696/Dearborn Road from Chapel Grove Road/Route 693 to Blackwater Road/Route 709 due to washout.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 622/Depot Road at Village Highway/VA-24/US-501 due to power lines down.

Charlotte County:

  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 633/Horse Horn Road from Tobacco Hill Road/Route 608 to Arbor Road/Plantation Lane/Route 702 due to power lines down.

Halifax County:

  • The east through lanes are closed on Route 782 near the dead end due to weather.

Pittsylvania County:

  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 896/Mill Run Road from Sago Road/Route 969 to Hedge Road/Route 858 due to flooding.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 814/Wet Sleeve Creek Road from Franklin Turnpike/VA-41 to Gap Road/Route 815 due to flooding.
  • All northbound lanes are closed on Route 750/Strawberry Road from Glenview Drive/Route 813 to Banister Road/Union Hall School Road/Route 612 due to flooding
  • All southbound lanes are closed on Route 813/Glenview Drive from Strawberry Road/Route 750 to Rap Road/Route 815 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 703/Irish Road from Marion Road/Route 605 to Jones Mill Road/Route 834 due to flooding.
  • All northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Route 834/Hollywood Road from Callands Road/VA-57 to Green Pond Road/Route 750 due to flooding.
  • All eastbound and westbound lanes are closed on Route 674/Player Road from Taylors Mill Road/Route 676 to Zion Road/Route 686 due to flooding.
