“Health and safety are of the greatest concern and in order to have a successful in-person experience, several Commonwealth of Virginia mandates and Radford University protocols must be followed,” Radford University said in Thursday’s statement.

Therefore, the university says the following guidelines will be enforced ahead of the commencement ceremonies:

  • Registration:
    • Graduates are required to confirm their attendance by using the Commencement RSVP Form, which is also available by searching for “Commencement” on OneCampus.  If you have problems logging into your Radford account, click the “Forgot/Reset Password” link on the login page.
  • Guests:
    • Graduates are limited to four guests, no matter their age, and the guests’ names must be included as part of the RSVP process.
    • Registration for graduates and their guests is due no later than April 16.
    • Face masks and physical distancing will be mandatory for all attendees.
  • All ceremonies will have a designated point of entry and exit and will open an hour ahead of the start time, but guests will need to check-in before entering the ceremony.
  • All details related to the ceremonies are subject to change based on directives from Virginia officials and RSVPs from graduates.
