A boil water notice remains in effect for the entire town of Pulaski after a water main break.
According to town officials, the boil water notice was issued Saturday morning after a water main break happened under Commerce Street overnight between Friday and Saturday.
The water main break was repaired, but neighbors may still experience lower than normal water pressure, according to the town’s Facebook page, so officials issued a boil water notice as a precaution.
The owners of Bella Pizzeria in Pulaski said while it takes longer to prepare food, the boil water notice has not hurt business.
“It’s not going to go smooth as it’s supposed to – it sets things back time-wise,” said Moustafa Ahmed, co-owner of Bella Pizzeria. “That’s just about it.”
The pizzeria is currently serving only bottled soft drinks and water and is not giving ice to customers, Ahmed added.
The town is working on getting the water pressure back to normal. The boil water notice is expected to be lifted Tuesday, according to officials.
