Local News

Pulaski County Public Schools very excited with how the vote went Tuesday night.

They posted this on Facebook saying:

“We are extremely pleased with the outcome of today’s election. The citizens of Pulaski County have made their voices heard and sent an emphatic message to their elected leaders that our kids deserve to be educated in a modern comfortable learning environment that will better prepare them  to be part of the 21st century workforce.”

They go on to thank the people who helped them through this process.

Now what does this mean for the community?

It will be a long process, but Pulaski and Dublin middle schools will combine to make Pulaski County Middle School.

The tax increase for the project is 47 million dollars total.

The superintendent of Pulaski County Public Schools says the taxpayers will see an increase in taxes, it is worth it to invest in the future of kids in their community.
