Primary election results for Southwest and Central Virginia

For Roanoke City Clerk of Court we have Brenda Hamilton who is the current clerk. She won by a landslide with close to 76% of the votes over Terri Price.  

Now to the race for Botetourt County Blue Ridge District Member for the Board of Supervisors we have Billy Martin Sr. who serves in that position now winning over Walter Michael with more than 67 percent of the votes.
 
Staying in Botetourt County for the position of Commissioner of Revenue we have Chris Booth with a close win over J. Michael Griffin with more than 56 percent of the votes. 

We are also have winners for state house races.
Here are the Republicans, vying for their party’s nomination.  
In the 5th District, We have Israel O’Quinn who holds the current seat winning over Michael Osborne with more than 77 percent of the votes.
 
In the 20th District we have G. “John” Avoli winning over Dave Bourne with more than 60 percent of the votes. That race had more than 8,000 people come out to vote.  

And in the 23rd District we had three candidates. Wendell Walker had a narrow victory, winning over  E.J. Turner Perrow Jr. and Ronald Berman  with close to 42 percent of the votes.
 
As for in the Senate, in the 15th District incumbent Frank Ruff Jr. takes the lead over his challenger Dale Sturdifen, vying for the Republican nomination. He wins by more than 79 percent of the votes.
