POLICE: Two people arrested after narcotic investigation in Radford

Radford police have arrested a man and a woman after a narcotics investigation was conducted Wednesday afternoon. 

According to police, the search warrant was executed at 3:30 p.m. at an apartment in the 200 block of Allen Avenue. 

Police seized drugs, cash, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia at the scene. 

According to officials, the Radford’s Department of Social Services also responded to the scene to assist with a young child that was living in the apartment. 

35-year-old, Kazre Nicole Bobbitt was arrested on one count of felony child neglect, assault on law enforcement, and one misdemeanor obstruction of justice. 

33-year-old, Benjamin Ryan Sy, was arrested for two counts of felony violation of probation. 

Both suspects are being held at the New River Valley Jail without bond.

Additional charges are pending by the Radford City Police Department.
