UPDATE 8:30 p.m.: Police have confirmed to WFXR News that a shooting took place this evening in Northwest Roanoke and found a vehicle believed to be involved in that shooting on Campbell Avenue Southwest.
Roanoke Police say that around 7 p.m., they were notified of a shooting in the 1100 block of Loudon Avenue NW.
Officers responded and found an adult male with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound outside of a residence.
The man was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A short time later, officers found a vehicle in the area of 5th Street and Campbell Avenue SW that is believed to have been involved in that shooting.
A female victim was inside of that vehicle.
Police say that she is believed to be a victim in the shooting incident, but she was not stuck by gunfire.
She, too, was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
According to police, nobody is currently in custody relating to this incident and there are no further details at this time.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Police are on the scene of a possible shooting in Roanoke.
A WFXR News crew arrived at Campbell Avenue SW between Fifth and Sixth Streets to find a police presence and discovered a vehicle with what appears to be a bullet hole in the driver’s side window.
Police have not released any additional information relating to this incident.
