Police investigate stabbing in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Officers with the Lynchburg Police Department are looking for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing on Thursday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the 1900 block of Easley Avenue at 11:17 a.m. for reports of someone being stabbed.

The individual was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.

Officers say Steve Earnest Wade, Jr., 47, of Lynchburg is being charged with one count of malicious wounding.

Wade is a white male, 5’5″ tall and weighs 200 lbs.
