Police investigate fatal shooting in Roanoke on Saturday

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police responded to a shooting on Saturday where a man died after being shot multiple times in Roanoke.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person who was shot in the 1800 block of Gandy Drive NW just after midnight on Saturday, Jan. 11. Officers arrived on the scene to find 25-year-old Nasion Brewer shot multiple times inside a residence.

Roanoke Fire-EMS transported Brewer to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, but Brewer died shortly after.

Investigators say that there was a fight between Brewer and another man that quickly led to shots being fired.

Authorities have not made any arrests yet, but this is an ongoing investigation.
