PODCAST: The disappearance of Christopher Douthat

Local News

Christopher Douthat went missing five years ago on October 25, 2013 and to this day what happened to him has remained a mystery.

However, now that the case has been handed over to state police from the Vinton Police Department, Douthat’s mother has a renewed hope to find answers.

Douthat was 24 years old at the time he went missing, and his mother has never stopped thinking about him since.

In the second podcast episode of Unsolved Crimes: Cases That Haunt Our Communities, WFXR’s Kathlynn Stone and Victoria Shirley speak with the lead investigator on the case Special Agent Douglas Hubert about not only the latest on the case, but some of the challenges authorities face when trying to crack this case.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Christopher Douthat please contact Virginia State Police at 1-540-375-9589, and ask for Special Agent Hubert.
