Pittsylvania County Sheriffs Office asks public to help locate missing man last seen in Chatham

Local News

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Zachary Pruitt, who was last seen at Frank’s restaurant in the Tightsqueeze area near Chatham on July 29 in the evening.

According to the Aware Foundation, Pruitt’s wallet and cell phone were later found at his residence, which his family says is out of character.

The Sheriff’s Office says Pruitt may be operating a multicolor 2006 Pontiac G6, similar to the one pictured below:

The vehicle may also have Virginia license plates with the “Don’t tread on me” logo as seen below:

The Aware Foundation says Pruitt almost always wears a baseball cap, has a deer tattoo on his left leg, numbers on his right shoulder and a tattoo on one of his wrists that looks like a 7.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Zachary Pruitt or has communicated with him recently should call the Pittsylvania County Sheriffs Office at (434) 432-7931 or email sar@pittgov.org.
