ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Clouds will blanket the region through the night but should move out as the sun rises on Thursday.

Sunshine will help to bring temperatures back above average on Thursday with many regions rising into the 70s.

Temperatures will remain above average for the remainder of the work week.

A cold front will move into the region on Saturday bringing clouds and rain.

Amounts will total a quarter to three-quarters of an inch.

Behind the cold front, cold air and windy conditions will return on Sunday and Monday along with isolated showers. Dry conditions return by Tuesday.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Sean remains weak and is not expected to strengthen much over the next several days. Right now, it does not look like it will impact any land areas.
