A pedestrian was hit after a multi-vehicle crash in Montgomery County.
It happened at about 11 a.m. on the Route 460 west bypass between Roanoke Street and North Franklin Street.
When crews arrived, they found a man who had been hit by a vehicle. He was taken to the hospital, where his condition is unknown.
During the time of the crash, the westbound lanes of 460 were closed for about an hour.
Deputies have worked 11 weather-related crashes between the hours of 6 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and have helped numerous disabled vehicles.

On March 12, 2018 at approximately 11:00AM, deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash on the Route 460 west bypass, between Roanoke Street and North Franklin Street. Additional callers reported a pedestrian had also been struck.
When first responders arrived, they located a male subject who had been struck by a vehicle. He was transported by Christiansburg Rescue Squad to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where his condition is unknown. This incident is still under investigation.
During the time of this crash, the westbound lanes of 460 were closed to traffic for approximately an hour to give emergency crews time to safely work the crashes and clear the area.
Deputies have worked a total of 11 weather related motor vehicle crashes from 6:00 am until 1:30 pm and assisted with numerous disabled vehicles. Even though the snow has stopped, drivers are urged to use caution tonight and tomorrow morning as temperatures drop below freezing
