DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Firefighters confirmed no one was injured after battling a house fire for several hours on Sept. 26.

According to the Danville Fire Department, the call came in around 10:47 p.m. for a fire in the 1100 block of Adams Street with someone trapped. When crews arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the roof of a single-story house.

Firefighters said crews tried to search for victims but were hindered because the house was used for storage.

However, it was quickly determined the house was unoccupied.

The house sustained extensive damage, and the cause of the fire has not been released, at this time.

WFXR News will update this story as additional details are released.
