LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Motorists in Lynchburg can expect one-way traffic near the intersection of Langhorne Road and Cranehill Drive on Tuesday and Wednesday while crews work on bridge improvements.
According to the City of Lynchburg, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, and Wednesday, Oct. 14, a lane closure will be in place on a portion of Langhorne Road at the trestle bridge southeast of Cranehill Drive.
Officials say traffic controls and flagging will be in place for one-way traffic near the intersection while contractors work on removing the scaffolding and fabric under the bridge as part of the Langhorne Trestle Trail Extension project.
Lynchburg motorists are asked to expect minor delays and drive cautiously through the work zone, keeping an eye out for changes in traffic patterns and temporary signage. However, emergency vehicles will continue to have access at all times.
