Radford, Va. (WFXR) – A man is dead after the car he was driving ran off the road.

Thursday evening, Radford City Police, Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on West Main Street, in the area of Wilderness Road.

Whey they arrived, they found 51-year-old Curtis Robinson, of Pulaski, dead on the scene.

Robinson was traveling westbound on Wilderness Rd. when his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer left the side of the road, overturned and traveled across the eastbound lanes, before coming to a rest against an embankment, according to police.

Robison was ejected from his Blazer. He was the only person in the truck and there were no other injuries.

A preliminary report indicates alcohol was a contributing factor, police say.
