According to the Troutville Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page, multiple crews responded to a structure fire.
Officials say the initial call came in about 1:30 Sunday morning.
Officials say there was no one in the building and it was currently for sale.
Officials say no one was injured at the scene.
Here is the facebook post from the Troutville Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page: “Companies 1, 2, 4, and 12 are out on a working structure fire in the Greenfield area. Fire 4 arrived to find an unoccupied 2 story structure with heavy fire showing from the “C” side. Engine 2 (with 4) arrived and went to work deploying a 2.5″ crosslay and a 400′ leader line. Ladder arrived and set up in preparation to be an elevated waterway. Tanker 2 arrived and supplied Engine 2 until units from Fincastle, Read Mountain, and Blue Ridge established a hydrant fed water supply by laying over 2000′ of large diameter hose to the scene. 13 Troutville members were on location, with 25+ additional personnel from Fincastle, Read Mountain, Blue Ridge, and Botetourt County’s paid staff. 5 engines, 2 tankers, 1 air truck, and 1 aerial operated on scene. Company 5 (Eagle Rock) also joined in by providing call coverage at Station 4.”
