FLOYD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Three men arrested in North Carolina have been linked to a Floyd County jewelry store burglary that took place last month, according to officials.
An investigation spanning from Roanoke to south Florida has been in place since the Floyd Jewelry Store suffered a ‘smash and grab’ style burglary on Friday, June 24, the Floyd County Commonwealth’s Attorney says.
On Sunday, July 10, two men were arrested in Rockingham, North Carolina who matched police descriptions of persons sought for burglary. Authorities say a third man was arrested two days later.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Floyd County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, issued warrants for grand larceny and burglary against Jonathon Flowers and Dale Bennett, both from Florida. Another warrant was obtained for Sean Flowers of Florida for conspiracy to commit grand larceny.
The Floyd County Commonwealth’s Attorney says all three men are facing extradition to Floyd County once their North Carolina charges are resolved.
