PEARISBURG, Va. (WFXR) –An association that supports destination marketing organizations and the development of tourism and travel professionals in Virginia has recognized and awarded the VisitNRV social campaign.
The Virginia Association of Destination Marketing Organizations (VADMO) awarded Giles County in partnership with tourism offices in Floyd, Montgomery, and Pulaski counties, and the City of Radford with a 2019 VIRGO Award for their entry in the Regional Marketing Initiative category. This award highlights work done by the regional tourism offices to launch and grow a Facebook and Instagram presence
VisitNRV is found on Facebook and Instagram and provides regional content that showcases the New River Valley of Virginia.

The VIRGO Awards celebrate the success of destination marketing organizations along with their respective staff members and volunteers. Judges for the awards were industry peers. Submissions were evaluated on the quality of the submission, economic efficiency, and the economic or community impact.
