BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Are you in the mood for a tasty lunch that supports a good cause?

The Virginia Tech Police Department invites members of the Blacksburg community to its annual ‘Hot Dog Luncheon’ to benefit the Special Olympics Virginia on Tuesday, May 17.

Attendees will be able to buy two hot dogs, chips, dessert, and a drink for a total of $5, or you can buy the items individually. Only cash or checks will be accepted.

On average, the luncheon reportedly raises about $3,000.

Tuesday’s fundraising event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside of the Virginia Tech Public Safety Building.
