UPDATE: Vehicle fire leads to shoulder closure along I-81 South in Montgomery County

UPDATE 8:03 a.m.: According to VDOT, the southbound right shoulder is still closed at mile marker 118 on I-81 South after Thursday morning’s vehicle fire in Montgomery County.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Montgomery County motorists may run into delays Thursday morning due to a vehicle fire along I-81 South.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says the southbound right lane and right shoulder are closed at mile marker 118 of I-81.
