UPDATE 8:21 a.m.: VDOT says crews have reopened all lanes on I-81 South after clearing the scene of Tuesday morning’s vehicle fire in Pulaski County.
UPDATE 7:43 a.m.: VDOT says the vehicle fire closing the southbound right lane and right shoulder on I-81 in Pulaski County has backed up Tuesday morning traffic for approximately half a mile.
PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A vehicle fire along I-81 South has resulted in some early morning lane closures in Pulaski County.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the southbound right lane and right shoulder are currently closed at mile marker 94.1 along I-81.
While there is no word of any backups resulting from the vehicle fire at this time, VDOT says delays are expected.
