RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) — The Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra traveled over 4,000 miles for their U.S. tour, and Tuesday they stopped in Radford.
“It’s an internationally renowned orchestra so we’re delighted to have these folks on stage here at Radford University,” said Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Stephanie Caulder.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, troops are coming up one year of the war with Russia.
“We’re excited to have them share their music with us because music is a language that doesn’t need words, and I think it has healing properties too,” said Caulder.
Radford marks the last leg of their journey, with just one more stop on the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, on Feb. 24 at the Palladium Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, IN.
