MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Two people ended up seriously injured after a collision in Montgomery County on Saturday.

According to Montgomery County Emergency Services‘ Facebook post on Saturday, April 10, members of the Riner Volunteer Fire Department, the Riner Volunteer Rescue Squad, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched around noon to Route 8 for a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

NRV 911 reportedly told crews there was a head-on collision with possible entrapment.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found two heavily-damaged vehicles, two patients inside one of the vehicles, but no entrapment, according to emergency officials.

After fire and EMS crews treated both patients at the scene, Montgomery County Emergency Services says they were both brought to the hospital with serious injuries.
