FLOYD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Three people were arrested for various charges following a pursuit through Floyd County on Thursday.
According to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tried to conduct a traffic stop along Route 8 on Thursday, March 4, but the driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.
However, the driver eventually stopped on Long Level Road and was taken into custody, along with two passengers.
Authorities say the driver, Dalton Franklin, was charged with two felonies — eluding police and attempted malicious wounding of a law enforcement officer — as well as misdemeanor reckless driving.
Meanwhile, the two passengers — identified by the sheriff’s office as James Franklin and Phetsamone Soulasinh — were each charged with maliciously throwing missiles at an occupied vehicle. In addition, Soulasinh was reportedly charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to officials, all three individuals are being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
