Take the bait with some of Montgomery County’s adorable, adoptable ‘sharks’

New River Valley News

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Fishing for attention? More like fishing for adoption at the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center!

In honor of Shark Week 2021, the animal shelter is dressing up its furry friends as sharks in hopes of finding them a forever home.

In less than 24 hours, one of the adoption center’s ‘SharkDogs,’ Benji, has already left the waters and found a permanent home.

Meanwhile, in the words of the shelter, ‘SharkCat’ Mittens “has been circling the waters at the Center since mid-June and is a great catch! She enjoys the great indoors and would do best in a home free from other SharkCats. We think she may actually purr-fer the company of SharkDogs.”
